Muzieklessen in de klas: wat doen we in welke groep?

In concrete terms, the curriculum basically looks like this:

  •             Group 1-2: once every 14 days a lesson “Music and movement” provided by a      subject teacher from Art4U. In the intervening week, the group teacher is guided by this subject teacher to give a music lesson himself.
  •             Group 3: “Muziekklup”, every child gets acquainted with the basic musical elements in a playful way.
  •           Group 4: “Muziekbende” (AMV), each child gets a solid and fun musical basis and      gets acquainted with the different instrument groups.
  •             Group 5-6-7: “Instrumentenbende”, i.e. instrument classes: in 7 to 10 weeks each student discovers what his or her favorite instrument is (wind class, accordion class, keyboard class, ukulele class, singing class, percussion class and in the future also string class). Each group has a different instrument class. In order to guarantee the cooperation with the association, a wind class will in any case be offered.
  • Group 8: “First Aid at Final Musicals” or “Write your own Popsong”:
    • ●      “First Aid at End Musicals”: This module consists of about six meetings. Within the module, the Art4U musical teacher will support the group teacher in the field of drama, song and dance. By giving substantive instructions, the piece comes to life and changes the 'reading of text' into experiencing and performing the final musical.
    • ●      “Write your own Pop song”: In about 9 lessons, the students write a pop song. They choose and devise a style, text, melody and harmony. Within these lessons, the song is recorded in a music studio and a final presentation with a live band is prepared and given. In the first lessons the focus is on writing the pop song, in the later lessons on the singing and presentation. The students are taught by several Art4U teachers, each with their own expertise.

Of course, the music lesson program is always tailored to the wishes of the school.
