WHAT IS A VIOLIN?

The violin is a stringed instrument. With a bow you strike the strings of the instrument, while your fingers on the fingerboard make different tones. The vibrations create a sound that comes out of the instrument's f-holes. But you can also strum a violin.
The violin comes in different sizes. You keep growing towards a bigger instrument. That is why most people first rent an instrument from a violin maker. Your teacher can tell you more about this.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO LEARN?

With the violin you can learn to play all kinds of different styles of music. From classical to pop songs, tango to country and from rock to film music. Did you know that there are even electric violins? In order to play the violin, you first learn the basics of bowing and which strings are on the instrument. Gradually you will learn more and more notes on your instrument with this basis. Sometimes we can make music together with a few learned notes! You can also do this in one of the beginner ensembles in Veldhoven and Bergeijk, because making music together is the best thing there is!

WHEN CAN YOU START VIOLIN LESSON?

Most students start from the age of 7, but for violin it is possible from 4 years old. Some people don't start until later in life. Everything is possible! The younger the student, the more auditory and playful the lesson is.
