WHAT IS A SAXOPHONE?

The saxophone is one of the woodwind instruments. This is because the sound of a saxophone is made by means of a reed on the mouthpiece that vibrates when you blow on it. By pressing the valves with your fingers you can play both high and low notes. There are large and small saxophones, but usually we start on a so-called alto saxophone. This size saxophone is suitable for everyone, there is even an extra light children's saxophone for young children.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO LEARN?

You can really play all the music you like on a saxophone! The saxophone is widely used in pop and jazz music, but the saxophone also sounds beautiful in classical music.

WHEN CAN YOU START SAXOPHONE LESSON?

You can start saxophone lessons at Art4U when you are about 7 years old. The most important thing is that you can easily reach the valves with your fingers. This is almost always possible with the special children's saxophone.

And, of course, you are never too old to learn to play the saxophone!
